Today marks an historically important day. The Roman Catholic Curia begins its conclave to select the 112th pope.  According to a Roman Catholic prophecy, most often referred to as Saint Malachy's "Prophecy of the Popes," the 112th pope will be the last pope.  Many within the Catholic church believe this pope will be the False Prophet of the book of Revelation.

There are actually quite a few Catholic prophecies about this 112th pope and the Catholic Church in the last days. As Tom Horn chronicles on his blog . . .

"The apostasy of the city of Rome … and its destruction by Antichrist may be thoughts so new to many Catholics, that I think it well to recite the text of theologians, of greatest repute. First, Malvenda, who writes expressly on the subject, states as the opinion of Ribera, Gaspar Melus, Viegas, Suarez, Bellarmine, and Bosius, that Rome shall apostatize from the faith, drive away the Vicar of Christ, and return to its ancient paganism. Malvenda's words are: But Rome itself in the last times of the world will return to its ancient idolatry, power, and imperial greatness. It will cast out its Pontiff, altogether apostatize from the Christian faith, terribly persecute the Church, shed the blood of martyrs more cruelly than ever, and will recover its former state of abundant wealth, or even greater than it had under its first rulers.

Lessius says: "In the time of Antichrist, Rome shall be destroyed, as we see openly from the thirteenth chapter of the Apocalypse;" and again: "The woman whom thou sawest is the great city, which hath kingdom over the kings of the earth, in which is signified Rome in its impiety, such as it was in the time of St. John, and shall be again at the end of the world." And Bellarmine: "In the time of Antichrist, Rome shall be desolated and burnt, as we learn from the sixteenth verse of the seventeenth chapter of the Apocalypse." On which words the Jesuit Erbermann comments as follows: "We all confess with Bellarmine that the Roman people, a little before the end of the world, will return to paganism, and drive out the Roman Pontiff."

Viegas, on the eighteenth chapter of the Apocalypse says: "Rome, in the last age of the world, after it has apostatized from the faith, will attain great power and splendor of wealth, and its sway will be widely spread throughout the world, and flourish greatly. Living in luxury and the abundance of all things, it will worship idols, and be steeped in all kinds of superstition, and will pay honor to false gods. And because of the vast effusion of the blood of martyrs which was shed under the emperors, God will most severely and justly avenge them, and it shall be utterly destroyed, and burned by a most terrible and afflicting conflagration."

The days ahead may prove to be very interesting ones, indeed.

Early on in my professional career (about 20 years ago) I had reason to look into these issues, although I cannot divulge the reasons in this blog entry due to confidentiality.  It is important to understand that the current attention being paid to these developing issues within the Catholic church, and its implications for the world, have been written about at length, over the last 100 years in particular.  For some, this may all seem new, and as if it is coming out of left-field.  It is not.

While I spent time talking in private about these matters back in the late 90's, I first presented some of the information publicly in 2005.  I also discussed other 'issues of debate' which included the UFO controversy and alien abduction, just to name a couple.  While there was a great deal of eyebrow raising, and a few folks who even called me a cult-leader because of it, my primary objective for raising these issues was simple . . . an authentic follower of Yeshua/Jesus Christ needs to have a Scriptural reply for such phenomena.

Most churches do not have any answer for such things.  Often times, pastors even ridicule and mock those who want to pursue a biblically-sound understanding of these events.  It is unfortunate to find that the study of prophecy is even discouraged in many local churches these days.  How unfortunate, that at a time when the world is increasingly fascinated (even addicted) to the supernatural in general, ghost-series on television, alien-focused story lines in movies, and prophecy mini-series (such as on the History Channel) . . . the Church is increasingly self-diminishing its salt and light in these areas by pouring cold water on our prophetic heritage.  If the Church has one claim to fame, is it not that over 300 prophesies were fulfilled in Jesus Christ, statistically authenticating He is the Son of God?  The Messiah of salvation and eternal life.

Does the average church-goer know that there are 7-8 times more prophecies regarding the end of days and His return to set up His Kingdom on earth, than even His first coming?

What does St. Malachy's "Prophecy of the Popes," the UFO phenomenon, and alien abduction have to do with one another?  Well . . . before I answer that . . . let me compound the question even further.  How about this question.  What does the Prophecy of the Popes, the UFO phenomenon, alien abduction, Christogenesis, evolutionary panspermia, transhumanism, Singularity, pantheistic monism, the False Prophet, and the Antichrist have to do with one another?

All are associated with
THE lie people will come to believe during the coming tribulation period, prophesied in the Scriptures.

"And for this reason God will send them strong delusion,
that they should believe the lie . . ."

-II Thessalonians 2:10-12-

Note that in Paul's discussion of this end-times deception that it is
THE lie, not a lie or lies (as in general deception).  This is a specific lie that is embraced.

After all of these years of personal research and investigation, I believe that this LIE will be that mankind can achieve eternal life without the salvation provided through Yeshua/Jesus Christ.  I believe that Satan already has a strategy in place for this strong delusion.

The world's intoxication with current occult and alien visitation themes is a form of desensitization occurring across the globe.  The Science Channel, who's motto is 'Question Everything' (except evolutionary theory, of course), is currently airing a series called "Are We Alone?."   It is a series that walks the viewer through contact with extraterrestials.  It has become increasingly difficult to ignore the evidence that would appear to be preparing us all for something.  Global consciousness is being shaped.  All one has to do is step away from an earth-bound, materialistic, 'here-and now' complacency and begin to ask the LORD for a little spiritual discernment.  This is difficult for the average Western Christian (no slight intended), as the focus of the pulpit these days has become much more about 'fast food' Christianity which focuses on the immediate . . . instead of the promise of His coming Kingdom. Current mainstream Christianity is creating materialistically-fat and entitled followers. A far cry from the first-century Church that Christian leaders tout they are striving to create.

Laodicia wasn't just a figment of God's mind.  It was the prophetic picture of God's people before His return, just as much as it was a real church in the first century, whose spiritual condition mirrors ours.  When the mind and senses are trained to be over-focused on our immediate comfort, we lose sight of future glory.  And we wain in our discernment of spiritual matters, especially the difficulties prophesied to come upon the earth before Yeshua/Jesus Christ returns.  It isn't that difficult to see why even Christians will be led astray (at least temporarily). We may need to check our lamps and see if there is oil in it or not. If ever the is a time to check, it is now.

Jesus stated that during the last days . . .

". . . false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
See, I have told you beforehand."
-Matthew 24:23-25-

There's that pesky prophecy issue.  "See, I have told you beforehand."

After all the accusation and allegation about me being a cult-leader, because of bringing such issues to the attention of others, I suppose that my concerns have now been proven to have at least some merit.  As discussed in one of Tom Horn's recent blog entires, modernist Catholic theology, academia and even science itself takes this idea of eternal life without the salvation of Jesus Christ very seriously.  In the online edition of the Encyclopedia of Palentology, they say this . . .

"Teilhard coined the concept of the “noosphere,” the new “thinking layer” or membrane on the Earth’s surface, superposed on the living layer (biosphere) and the lifeless layer of inorganic matter (lithosphere). Obeying the “law of complexification/conscience,” the entire universe undergoes a process of “convergent integration” and tends to a final state of concentration, the “point Omega” where the noosphere will be intensely unified and will have achieved a “hyperpersonal” organization. Teilhard equates this future hyperpersonal psychological organization with an emergent divinity [a future new form of God]"

It is beyond the scope of this entry to go into detail about the noosphere and convergent integration.  When Exo-Vaticana is released it will have detailed explanations of these concepts and copious references for anyone who wants to study further.  I simply want to acquaint you with the idea that both the occult and science are merging around pantheistic monism, the belief that all is merging into an evolutionary jump of unprecedented proportion.  It is the 'Christ Consciousness' of the the New Age movement.  It is also important to realize that Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, a Jesuit priest, has been shaping the theology of the Catholic Church for over 60 years.  Chardin's work are sanctioned by the Catholic Church, yet he teaches that extraterrestrials may provide the pathway to the next evolutionary jump humanity will undertake.

Former Pope Benedict XVI quoted Chardin, incorporated Chardin's cosmological terminology in his writings and homilies, and is considered by many to be a Chardinian mystic of the highest order.  In his book,
Credo For Today: What Christians Believe, Benedict rejects Creationism for evolution.  He states that Creationism, "contradicts the idea of evolution and is untenable today" (page 34).  This explains his recent homily, where he states . . .

"The role of the priesthood is to consecrate the world so that it may become a living host, a liturgy: so that the liturgy may not be something alongside the reality of the world, but that the world itself shall become a living host, a liturgy. This is also the great vision of Teilhard de Chardin: in the end we shall achieve a true cosmic liturgy, where the cosmos becomes a living host."

A liturgy is defined by Merriam-Webster as, "A rite or body of rites prescribed for public worship."

When Benedict presents the world with the idea of a Chardinian cosmic liturgy, I am reminded of Revelation 13:11 and following . . .

"Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth,
and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.
(note: this is the False Prophet)
And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence,
and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast,
whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he
even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.
And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs
which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast,
telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast
who was wounded by the sword and lived.
He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast,
that the image of the beast should both speak and cause
as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed."

We also need to understand the Catholic use of the phrase 'living host' which is a reference to the Eucharist and believed to be the actual body and blood of Jesus, administered to members of the Catholic Church and consumed during the Catholic Mass.  If the world and the cosmos becomes a living host, as Benedict and Chardin teach, it is nothing more than a belief that we will all be subsumed into the 'Christ Consciousness' of pantheistic monastic occultism; the Hindu, Buddhist, New Age (and some would argue Islamic) concept of heaven/eternal life by becoming one with the Universal Mind.

This will take guidance of course (sarcasm intended), which likely explains Benedict's comments above regarding the "
the role of the priesthood" and also why the Vatican Observatory has increasingly been discussing the possibility of alien-saviors who may arrive and provide us the pathway to the 'evolutionary jump' we need.
